Vintage Alpaca Silver & Abalone Cordial Set Made in Mexico
Vintage 1950s Mexican cordial set, consisting of 6 diminutive goblets and a rectangular tray with rounded corners, made of ALPACA which is not silver, but a white metal (an alloy of nickel, zinc, copper, etc.), inlaid with pieces of abalone shell, the tray measures 7 5/8 long x 5 1/8 wide. The cordial goblets measure 2-1/2 high, the pieces are marked: ALPACA, HECHO EN MEXICO.
