
Charming square ceramic dish with a detailed blue design and gold edging. With a classic hand painted landscape pattern. This type of blue and white porcelain was one of the most classic porcelains in Chinese history. The patterns are hand painted with the blue pigment derived from cobalt oxide. This plate was made in the 19th century for export to the Western markets.
