Antique Fu Dog Chinese Incense Burner
This incense burner was made sometime in early to mid 1800s. It depicts a Chinese lion, known to most in the West as a Fu Dog.
The lid has 8 oval holes for the incense smoke to escape.
Its hand painted blue and white ceramic.
There is a burn mark at the inside part of the lid - most likely created by the burning of incense.
It is 7.5 tall x 6.5 wide x 4 deep and weighs 2 lbs 8 oz
While photographing I noticed a repair, so I reduced the amount by 35% (see last 2 pics) the repair is barely visible and cannot be seen unless you're closely examining it.
