This work, which weaves together mental struggles, heartbreak and new love and friendship, questions about ancestors and humanity, self-disclosure and introspection, unfolds a healing soul sound reminiscent of her masterpiece Lovestained, which propelled her name to global recognition in 2019. It includes 16 tracks, including the superb sweet neo-soul Thank Goodness, the band's energetic and playful Bad Love God, and Jumping the Gun, which oozes melody as it sweetly sings over a bossa nova-style production. The grooves influenced by each location, as she produced the songs in L.A. and London, drift through each song.
