Thomas Charles Lasorda, nicknamed Tommy , was a Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher and manager for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1976–1996. During his 20-year managerial career, he led the Dodgers to two World Series titles, four National League pennants, and eight division titles. In 1997, his first year of eligibility, he was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a manager.
