Does not come with card or power cord, However the unit does run on c batteries and there is a hack to make your own cards in which I will explain below.
You can buy the long card stock paper, and blank VCR tape, using Elmers's stick glue you can lightly glue the VCR tape to the bottom of the stock card paper just like the magnetic strip is on the original stock cards, and you can record on that as well as playback. Even if you do not buy this unit, I hope that piece of information helps you as those cards are way to expensive to buy.
