Unique ceramic salt and pepper shakers with a natural brown and cream design.Fired in a lengthy Japanese firing style, with salt, soda and wood. Variations in the surface csn be melted ash, blushing from their spot in the kiln, my brushwork designs or textures from their construction. These are made by hand, not on a wheel, with a recessed foot to hide the cork stopper :) Artist chop mark or stamp is a simple ‘J’. They come in a Giftable clamshell box. Never used, from my ceramic art inventory. One has a fired clay bead in it- so you can just shake it to break up the salt if it gets stuck from humidity- pretty clever!
