CHICAGO: Ransom Jackson, Chicago Cubs 3rd baseman leaps for high throw from left fielder Hank Sauer in 3rd inning of the Cubs-Dodgers game here today. Throw pulled Jackson off base allowing Duke Snider to slide in safe. Snider advanced from first when Cub shortstop Roy Smalley booted hard ground ball hit by Jackie Robinson, Robinson reaching second on the error. Dodgers won 10 - 2.
