Product Description
A Pacific War campaign game emphasizing playability.
Across the Pacific is a highly playable campaign game that allows you to play the Pacific War at the strategic to operational level.
For example, one option available to the Japanese forces is to not attack Pearl Harbor, i.e., not go to war with the United States, and instead launch an all-out war with China in a short decisive battle.
The United States will enter the war later, but it will be a race against time to see if Japan can win the war against China by then.
Also, even if the Pacific War begins as historically with the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japan can invade Australia or take the strategy of occupying New Guinea first and then conquering the Dutch East Indies and the Philippines.
Furthermore, it is also possible to prepare for a war of attrition from the beginning, conserve experienced pilots, and deploy high-performance aircraft that appear in the latter half of the war.
Across the Pacific is a two-player game themed on the Pacific War.
The feature of this game is that it depicts the important role of land-based aircraft in the Pacific War through the concept of air umbrella, which was not present in previous games.
