Anthony Marshon Davis Jr.
(born March 11, 1993),
also known by his initials AD, is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays the power forward and center positions. Davis is an eight-time NBA All-Star and has been named to four All-NBA First Teams and four NBA All-Defensive Teams. In 2021, he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. In July 2019, the Pelicans traded Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round draft picks, including the Lakers' No. 4 overall selection in the 2019 NBA draft.
In his first season with the Lakers, he won an NBA championship in 2020.v
