About Harold Altman:
Harold Altman was born in New York City in 1924. He attended the Art Students League, Black Mountain College, the Academic de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris and wa sa graduated of the Cooper Union Art School.

His awards and fellowships include a Tamarind Lityhography Workshop Fellowship, two Guggenheim Fellowships, a National Institute of Arts and Letters Grant and a Fulbright Hays Senior Research Scholar Fellowship to France.

Atlman's work is represent in many public and private collections. Among them are th Art Institute of Chicago; the Boston Museum of Fine Arts; the Cleveland Museum of Art; the Detroit Institute of Arts; the Biblotheque National, Parks; the Kuns
