Vintage National Shrine of St. Anthony in New York. The light weight gold tone medal features St Anthony of Padua
Although a new church on Sullivan Street, in the Romanesque Revival style shown on the medal, and the friars residence was in the first church structure, a separate friary was built for them on Thompson Street directly behind the church. This came to serve as the headquarters for their Minister Provincial and why the 151 Thompson St., New York address is on the medal.
The medallion features the beautiful church, the New York City skyline, and St Anthony of Padua. Marked CDF in tiny letters at the bottom. Also marked Dear St. Anthony Pray for Me on the reverse side. National Shrine of St. Anthony 151 Thompson St. New York. 12 N.Y. and Italy marked on the back.
