This is to insulate pipes but could be used for various other things like roll cage protection in race cars or mud trucks. I've seen it being sold for big rigs / tractor trailers. Possibly for some engine applications or hosing protection, I'm not sure.
I believe this is the K-FLEX® INSUL-TUBE® line. I don't think it's the INSUL-LOCK because it doesn't have the flap to cover the seam. The total length of pieces I have is around 47 linear feet. It is used and looks used but is in good shape. I think I have manufacturers part number 6RX148158. Not: 6RXLO148158, 6RXWLO148158, 6RXW148158
