Bryce Higbee Diamond Point Discs Pedestaled Cake Plate 1898
I have for sale a gorgeous and glossy footed cake plate by (I believe) Bryce Higbee, circa 1898. This piece was also remade about 10 years later by New Martinsville, though I have no way of knowing for sure which it is since it isn't hallmarked. The foot of the cake plate has some strawmarks and a narrow smallish scuff. The surface of the plate has very few scratches and is in remarkable condition. There are no chips or flakes. It measures about 4.75 tall and 10 across. Would be perfect for a 8 cake. It weighs 2lbs and 3oz. This will be very carefully packed and insured.
