French Art Deco Matchabelli Perfume Bottle 5.75" Tall Vintage 1930’s With original lid/stopper and original cork. The bottle has four rows of small stars on each side, a large wreath with flowers on the back side and the signature crown embossed into the clear glass. The stopper is a frosted glass Maltese Cross. The original cork liner is still in tact and in great shape, hard to find on a bottle this age. The bottle has no chips or cracks.These older bottles are all glass including the stopper, they are more desired as part of a collection and command higher prices. This bottle does not have the paper labels.Prince Georges Vasili Matchabelli started his company in 1926 in New York. A Russian exile, he was a Georgian prince who fled the Soviet Union to the USA after the Russian Revolution.Open to reasonable offers. This is in used/preowned condition.
