This beamed eighth note tie tack or lapel pin is fashioned from 18K yellow gold with two round cut cubic zirconia. Perfect for a musician or music lover. The clutch, as in most cases, is not gold, but gold-toned metal. Well made and in excellent vintage condition, pin is still sharp and clutch works as it should. Tie tack tip: Slowly wiggle the pin through the fabric rather than pushing through. This helps to avoid permanent holes. I would hesitate to use this for a fine silk tie, as the pin is fairly thick.
♦ Dimensions: 13/16 x 1/2 inch (2.1 x 1.2 cm). CZs are 6 mm. Weight without clutch is 1.6 grams.
♦ Markings: 750 and the standard Italian goldsmith marks, but they're so tiny I can't quite decipher.
