This is a vintage set of 2 art deco Italian hand sculpted alabaster cockatoo bookends. Both are marked Italy on the bottom. These are soft stone, not polished. They each measure approximately 4 tall x 3.5 long. Each has some chipping, as shown in pictures. No major chips or cracks.
