An umbrella that has replicated for a handle the hilt of a Japanese Katana (samurai sword). It is made out of wood as is the end tip on the top of the umbrella. Around the edge of the umbrella is a thin line in chartreuse on a gray background and above that are numerous images of the family crest of the Azai clan also in chartreuse. On one panel is a stylized Japanese graphic in white. Has a push button for opening. The umbrella was part of a series of umbrellas that highlighted a number of famous samurai and their clans. This was given to us in the mid 2000s and has never been used or taken outside...in very good condition. Also comes with a slip-on cover with a cross-body shoulder strap for carrying. Measures 32 long and 34 wide when open.
