Japanese Navy Type 3 Service Uniform, complete set (jacket and trousers).
Unused, authentic item.
This is an unused, late-war model with a 4-button jacket in very good condition. However, there is some discoloration on the inside chest area of the jacket (see photo 9). This is not a stain. The exterior is in good condition. Also, there is a slight, faint black mark near the second buttonhole. Both are believed to be manufacturing defects.
This is an official government-issued item with inspection stamps. The buttons are officer-grade, flat brass buttons with cherry blossoms and anchors, suggesting it was for midshipmen or officers.
The trousers were acquired with the jacket and are believed to be part of the same set. They have side pockets only, with no back pockets. Like the jacket, they are in unused, good condition, but there is some thread twisting in the weave and a small snag on the left front thigh. This is also believed to be a manufacturing defect.
Both the jacket and trousers have the following manufacturer's markings:
Shanghai Military Clothing and Provisions Factory
Size: (三) (3)
Made in Showa 20 (1945)
Additional marking: Masumitsu (益光)
Due to the nature of military items, there may be slight differences in color and texture, even within a set. However, this unused Navy uniform set is considered a valuable historical artifact.
We ask that you understand the above description and appreciate the value of this item before purchasing.
