This 10” peddler doll was created in 1972 by "Vicky" age 86. The doll has a carved wooden spool head with hand drawn facial features and a mohair wig. The doll's body is needle sculpted silk stockinette. The little peddler wears a cotton print dress, black cotton hooded cape, and white cotton lace trimmed underclothing. Her black apron, with a multitude of pockets, holds all of the treasures that she has for sale. The doll is not marked but has an old hang tag attached indicating her provenance.
