Vintage Ralph Lauren women's military-style coat, made in the USA of a deep navy blue wool/cashmere blend. Patterned on the WWII-era British Royal Navy officer's greatcoats, in my opinion some of the best-looking coats ever designed, with many of the same features including a double-breasted closure with buttonholes on both sides so it can be buttoned either as a women's or a men's coat, a center back pleat extending almost the entire length of the coat, a buttoned half belt, a detachable button flap to fasten the collar for extra protection from the elements (can be buttoned inside the lining when not in use), and epaulettes with gold metallic rank stripes stitched on. Fully lined and very long, measuring 48" or 4 feet from collar seam to bottom hem.No major flaws but several minor ones; mild pilling throughout (although it is hard to tell how much is pilling and how much is just the fuzzy texture of the wool); some minor moth damage near the bottom hem on the back (last photo); two buttons missing for the rear vent; one of the epaulette buttons has some small spots of corrosion; and some of the front buttons have fallen off and were sewn back on with the new stitching blocking the chest pockets, so you may want to remove and reattach those buttons yourself. Women's size 6. Note that the armholes are very high and the sleeves are very slim; make sure to check whether those will work for you even if the other measurements appear to be the right size (hence why I'm selling).
