This cream white silk kimono, is enhanced with hand dyed silk shibori panels.Lined with silk and featuring the traditional sleeves with "pockets" this kimono jacket is done in the Haori style, a shorter version of thekimono. On a creamy white background, beautiful unique stripes of shibori dyed green and yellow and pink are arranged across the kimono giving it a unique aesthetic that contrasts the delicate drape of the silk. A soft shoulder gently careens into the voluminous dropped sleeve. There is a small internal tie. Made in Japan in the mid 1970s. This jacket can bestyled with abelt or sash, or can be worn open to take full advantage of the dramatic drape.
