The founder is Shin HOSOKAWA. Shin Hosokawa was born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture in 1949. After graduating from a men's fashion vocational school, he worked for an apparel company, in charge of planning and design. He became independent in 1979 and launched his own brand. He debuted at the Tokyo Collection in 1984-1985 A/W.
From 1998-1999 A/W, he started SHIM SHIN HOSOKAWA .
