This is a 1950s U.S. ARMY M-51 field jacket.
The material is back satin, which is cotton satin fabric used on the reverse side.
The front closure is snap buttons and an aluminum zipper.
The M51 is the predecessor to the M65, a vintage military jacket that is not affected by trends.
