This Art Deco 12kgf F.M. CO 1920s wedding hinged bangle is beautifully etched and would make a wonderful wedding gift for a groom to give to a bride. The F.M. Co hinged bangle is decorated with an engraved floral pattern with a push-button, tongue-and-box clasp that is typical of bracelets made by F.M. Co from 1900 to 1920.
The gorgeous bangle is an Art Deco Era wedding bangle. Historically, a groom would give his bride a beautifully engraved bracelet on their wedding day. Occasionally, they may be gifted in sets—one given upon engagement and the other on the wedding day. A bracelet set may have 2 different sizes, a larger one for the groom and a smaller one for the bride. During the Victorian and Art Nouveau eras, these bracelets were referred to as handcuff bracelets and were a symbol of matrimonial commitment instead of an engagement wedding ring.
Age Circa: Art Deco C. 1920s signed 12kgf FMCo. F.M. Co. Width: 3/4 , Gram Weight: approx. 20 Grams, Size: 2 1/2 .
