BASKET WICKER RATTAN Double Lids Closure Static Handle Woven Dark Tan Vintage Estate I was advised that this Estate sale item was purchased prior to 2000.
This is a woven wicker or rattan basket designed with a double lid that is wired to the base. There is a looped wicker closure in the center on each side of the lids. The handle is made of 3 strips of wood and where it bends it has been burned.
NOTE THIS IS AN AS-IS ITEM: It is very sturdy and in good vintage condition. There are some missing wicker pieces on the sides, bottom and lids. There is no hallmark. The wire is pulled up on one lid hinge inside. The basket interior is about 4 in tall and the exterior of the basket is about 4 3/4 in tall x about 13 in long x about 8 in wide. The static handle stands about 5 1/2 in above the basket & does not fold down. Overall height is 10 in tall. It weighs about 1 pound, 1.7 oz.
