This is an exceptionally nice example of Midcentury modernist decor. The large elephant figurine, with downturned trunk, was produced in Culver City, California by the Jaru Pottery company sometime in the 1960's or early 70's. It is hollow and made with a slip mold technique. There were several different variations of elephant figurines offered, as well as sizes. It features a peachy beige colored glossy glaze. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or other imperfections. The figurine measures 8.5 tall x 10.5 wide x 5 deep. It will be very carefully packaged and ship within 2 business days.
