I was not able to test the remote, but the battery compartment of the remote is clean.
There is some rust in the battery compartment of the blue section of the train but when I put batteries in it the light did turn on. Batteries are NOT included
The set is missing:
1 straight track
1 barrel

There is some wear to the set including stains and scratches
