This is a very rare shirt jacket featuring large chest pockets with gussets and the metal 13-star buttons often used by the US ARMY in the early 1940s.

It's a D-type with both a gas flap and buttons for attaching a hood.
The buttons vary in material and shape depending on the manufacturing period, but this is an early model that uses all metal 13-star buttons.

There is a small hole and tear on the back, and fraying at the neck, but otherwise, the body has few tears or frays.

There is no smell typical of military or vintage clothing.
Non-smoker. No pets.

【Item Details】
Made of 1940s cotton herringbone fabric, with a gas flap, 13 STAR buttons, etc., the construction is cool.

【Condition】
There is a small hole and tear on the lower right back (see image 13).
There is a tear at the collar (see image 14).
There is some fraying on both cuffs (see image 15).
There are some light stains and signs of wear in places.
Overall, I think the condition is good. The fabric itself is sturdy, and it has a vintage military feel.
With gas flap. The number of items with intact gas flaps is decreasing year by year.
