Character Sketches was published by Southwestern Publishing House in Nashville in 1890
 by George A. Lofton
Topics range from sin to virtue upon one's death
The stories were blackboard presentations that include 50 wonderful caricature sketches showing the many faults of people throughout time
A great read on the psychology of human personality seen through the eyes of a preacher many years ago. His insight and understanding is keen to say the least.

No missing pages (454). No writing, margin notes or inscriptions. Gold writing and page gilding is in excellent shape for the age. Only a mild library smell. Book is solid except for the ripped cover over the binding. The pages have foxing, but not fragile. First cover page has a tiny rip and a torn bit; last has a torn off tiny bit. Bumps to the corner.
