To be admired for it's beauty and innovative design, vintage mid-1940s Russel Wright Sterling China ashtray. The shape is for stacking and the groove was designed to hold a matchbook, which can also be used to hold chopstick, use as a serving dish for sushi, or a catch allapproximately 6" diameter.The ivy green/blue glaze is desirable from this line. Some wear to the glaze from use, thin transparent areas of glaze showing the clay, Normal-a few small bubbles from firing. Very good condition.
