Great bag which I think maybe crocodile but not certain. It is leather and quite usable despite the obvious signs of age as shown. There is some verdigris which I have cleaned a little but not much as I thought it added to the charm. The bag is heavy leather with a very usable front pocket and mesh and in side mesh pocket as well as a back pocket in the rear of the bag. I have not moved the strap as I feel that the snap maybe too fragile . Amazing bag still
