This is a spectacular Lladro Olympic vintage statue. It was first introduced in 1977 and retired in 1983. Item number is 4968. It was designed by Juan Huerta. It's from the Puppet collection. This piece is of an adorable young child who is nicely dressed in a white tank top with the blue Olympic sign on it, blue shorts and blue and white large tied up sneakers. His hair is curly brown. The boy has one hand up and is carrying a lid torch and the other hand pressed on his side. His face is adorable, and he seems very proud carrying the Olympic torch. It is a hand painted hand-made and is a wonderfully sculpted with incredible Lladro traditional pastel colors. The features of this piece are very realistic. Each Lladro figurines are created to tell an incredible story. It was created in Spain. It measures 9.75 tall. It's in excellent condition no chips or cracks. The attention to detail is truly amazing. No original box or paperwork. Last known original retail price is 832.00
