1920 BABE RUTH HEADIN HOME SELF DEVELOPING CARD AUTHENTIC pop 1 This was a thin card that was handed out at a silent film called Headin Home starring the legend Babe Ruth. The image is made using water.. when kids were given these at the theater they would take them home and use either there own saliva/spit or water and rub it on the card to make the image develope. After wetting the card they would then sit it in direct sunlight until the image would appear. The process was somewhat like dipping a photograph in solution the way they did in a dark-room back in them times. Extremely scarce valuable card. No brightners in the ink whatsoever which indicates its an original from prewar era. You won't see another like it anywhere. This came in a small set of cards that include images of Ruth playing baseball. The film was released in 1920.
