The Lake and Terrace tapestry is woven in one size: 35″x49″
The Lake and Terrace tapestry shows a late 18th century lakeside scene at Lake Como, Cernobbio in northern Italy where elegant society gathered on the classical terrace and peaceful gardens at the Villa d’Este. The villa was built in the 16th century and in the late 18th century the Italianate gardens were created, the scene of our Italian wall tapestries. These were described by Caroline of Brunswick as “a scene of complete enchantment”.
This Lake Como tapestry is woven in Italy in 75% cotton and 25% viscose. It is hand-finished – lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
