JRR Tolkien illustrated books, including The Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings, and the Silmarillion, all as Tolkien himself envisioned it. The books are published by William Morrow and Company and printed and bound in Italy. These books are very high quality hard cover cloth bound with sewn binding and ribbon bookmarks. Each book has full watercolor illustrations and removable detailed maps, in addition to removable dust jackets. These books are new, unread, and still sealed in the plastic, although there are some nicks in the plastic and wear is some places as shown. The Hobbit has the plastic opened on the bottom but the books is still new and unopened and includes both maps. The Silmarillion also has a small tear on the inside of the dust jacket on the bottom of the book and some dents where it sat on a wire shelf. I tried to picture it as best as I could. It’s is not noticeable when the book is displayed on a shelf. There is a small bit of wear on a corner of the Lord of the Rings.
