Rare Antique Brown Wood Umbrella Stand
Designed in 1888, and executed 1888-1911, an antique umbrella stand produced by Thonet. Structured on a demilune zinc base, three elegant bentwood legs create a beautifully ribbon illusion. A center carved wood pole supports the legs and a bentwood bar holds the umbrellas in place. Rare, this umbrella stand is an important piece of Thonet’s legacy of innovation. Some cracking of wood as seen in pictures. There aren’t many of these listed for sale. Rare piece of history.
