OriginalFake was founded by the artist KAWS in 2006. The brand was created out of the need to combat counterfeit KAWS toys, so naturally toys are what OriginalFake made first. Eventually the brand began to produce T-shirts featuring KAWS characters, which couldn’t have been more popular in the streetwear community at the time.
