The 648 from the 2024 A/W collection features a new 1-pin rivet construction, an iconic element of 7285. The plastic front and temples are polished together with the metal hinges, and after perfectly aligning the joints, the hinges are plated at low temperature, a traditional and rare technique. The minimalist structure of the 1-pin rivet gives a somewhat modern impression, but it is deliberately combined with a classic oval shape.
Like analog photographs captured by vintage film cameras, the nostalgic atmosphere is expressed only with light and shadow. The combination of glossy black metal adds modernity, creating the ultimate monotone color with a more striking contrast.
Only a very limited number of these items were sold at the eyevan7285 directly managed stores in Tokyo/Osaka, and they quickly sold out. This is a highly popular item, and there is unlikely to be a re-production of this model and color in the future, so if you've been looking for one, please consider it.
I mainly used it on weekends.
The case has scratches from everyday use.
