Long ago, the realm of Ord was ruled by a gracious king and queen. Right and just, they governed over their subjects with much compassion.
They bore two sons, and educated them about magic and control of the dragon legions. There was Gorian, who had an overwhelming desire for good and Manarath, who had an unquenchable lust for mischief.
Corian was the eldest and destined for the throne, but Manarath would not stand to be second and furtively sought to destroy his brother. One day a blinding rage of jealousy overtook his judgment and he mistakenly slew his parents.
Now banished, Manarath escaped to a cavernous abyss in the surrounding mountains. There he created his own kingdom from where he could plot to strike out against his brother with his evil minions.
