Based on vintage pieces made in the mid to late 1950s. As the name suggests, bowling shirts were originally uniforms for the sport of bowling, so this model features action pleats on the back to enhance mobility. The contrasting colors of the collar and action pleats against the body of the shirt also serve as a design accent.
The body is made of a lightweight, plain-woven 100% rayon fabric. The buttons are 14mm four-hole buttons, typical of 1950s bowling shirts. It is presumed that this shirt was ordered by a bowling team from a sake brewery, and the luxurious, voluminous chain embroidery using glossy rayon thread enhances the team's sense of camaraderie.
