Shlomo Alter (1936-2021) was born in Romania to a family of restaurateurs, and immigrated to Israel in 1948. His artistic gifts became apparent at an early age, and during high school, he began studying painting under the well-known artist Aaron Avni. His works are included in many notable private and corporate collections.
