The original is a 1940s British Army wool hospital jacket.
The material is an original fabric created based on the 1950s British military jacket, with 20/2 warp yarn and 10/- weft yarn densely woven to create a military serge with a firm twill.
The jacket has been updated to maintain the original image, such as the rounded front line characteristic of hospital jackets, sleeves that naturally curve to follow the movement of the arms, and an A-line silhouette that is a cross between a tailor and a coverall.
