Robes & Confections
A Japanese fashion brand founded in 2003 by Akira Tsuchiya.
Sold in over 40 select shops in Japan and overseas, as well as department stores in Japan.
The brand name Robes & Confections comes from the name of ready-to-wear manufacturers in Europe when ready-to-wear clothing first appeared.
Designer Akira Tsuchiya graduated from the Apparel Design Department of Bunka Fashion College in 1996 and worked as a pattern maker for Yohji Yamamoto. In 2003, he became independent and established MIKA Co., Ltd., launching the women's wear brand Robes & Confections.
Robes & Confections collections pursue modern clothing while firmly rooted in classic tailoring and cutting. Rather than design, they propose new everyday wear based on ideas such as What can we do now with jackets, which are originally functional clothing for work?
Original price: around 57,000 yen
Accessories: spare buttons
