The vintage art glass paperweight is not too large nor too small.centuries old center of glass blowers. The center of this orb is a blue sea foam form that under glass really does make one feel as though we are looking through water at some sea formation. It also resembles a type of coral or maybe a type of blue lava. The foam has indentations all around and within each of those scoops is a controlled bubble. There is one section at the base where the paperweight has a flaw--this was pre-production, not post. It is not a chip nor break, as it has been smoothed during the grinding of the base. The paperweight came to me from a collection of Italian and US made paperweights. I love the look of a grouping of paperweights, which reminds me of Victorian looking glasses or old industrial steampunk devices. Makes one feel that the midcentury was, indeed, a long time ago.
