Antique Victorian mourning jewelry brooch rolled gold french jet or onyx with opal or faux opal. Too small to tell. Gorgeous! Marked Scherl on back. Can’t find any info on it. Similar selling for 265-878. Has a few tiny dents and one area where rolled gold is flaking off but not noticeable when on. Still rare old piece. I’ve never seen opal in mourning jewelry.
