This lovely glass art of a bird on a branch is the creation by Arte Murano of Venezuela. These artisans had worked in Italy for Murano and started their own glass company in Venezuela. This design was made in the 1980s to 1990s. The bird is masterfully crafted with a dark plum colored accent in the center of the bird. You can see in the photo small air bubbles appear as small specs in my photo. This is very common in hand blown glass. This piece is unmarked, but attributed with confidence. Measure 6 3/4 inches tall 7 inches wide 4.5 inches deep. Condition is pre owned with magnification of five times I found a very fine scratch on the lower body of the bird. I would not have seen it without magnification, But I have it noted. Otherwise free of chips, cracks, nicks or breaks. Priced accordingly to its condition. A lovely art glass bird figurine. Non smoking pet free home.
