Large interesting Yellow Calcite crystal cluster from China. Similar in some ways to Mexico’s famous Mariposa Calcite, this calcite features alternating colors and dark purple brown phantoms, likely from hematite. Our Chinese contact believes this crystal is likely from Anhui or Fujian.
This is crystal is new in stock from the Denver 2025 Spring Gem and Mineral Show. It was a favorite of multiple sellers and buyers. It is not in perfect condition due to some chipped termination points and chipped away exterior coloration but it’s coloration and phantoms make for an interesting display piece.
This crystal weighs almost 2lbs (1lb 10oz) and measures approx 5.76”L x 4.47”W x 2”H.
