Vintage Reproduction Antique Figural Erzgebirge Style Artisan Hand Carved Folk Art Wooden Wheeled African Giraffe Noah’s Ark Animal Figurine
Measures roughly 9” long x 12 tall, on a 6 x 3.75 wheeled plank (width includes measurement of wheels). The axles are wooden dowels; the only metal on this piece is the Philips head screws which fasten the giraffe's feet to the platform through the bottom of the plank, and everything else is solid (non manufactured) wood. I would assume this was made in the 1980s or 1990s. It is a really nice, high quality replica/homage to the Erzgebirge & antique Noah’s Ark animals niche…and in a larger, semi-updated scale. It’s in wonderful structural, functional, and aesthetic condition, with a few superficial scratches & scuffs to the surface paint, but that's about the full extent of any apparent imperfections. Very cool decorative antique toy. Sold as pictured.
