NASA's Jupiter-bound Juno spacecraft carried the 1.5-inch likeness of Galileo Galilei to Jupiter when the spacecraft launched on Friday, Aug. 5. The inclusion of two mini-statues, or figurines, is part of a joint outreach and educational program developed as part of the partnership between NASA and the Group to inspire children to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
These two are replicas (MADE WITH REAL ) of the exact Minifig Sculpture of Galileo sent up into space.
